I had an old mine cut diamond that was a family heirloom remade into an engagement ring, and I took it to a jeweler who completely messed it up and set the diamond wrong and it fell out. They had also resized the band incorrectly. David is an expert. We went to him and he reset the diamond beautifully, fixed the band, and it’s amazing. Also, because the diamond is so old and so unique we couldn’t find a wedding band that went with it correctly. David had a wedding band for us custom made, that looks AMAZING. After conducting a fair amount of Due Diligence and reading the reviews about reputable Jewelers -- just as you're probably doing right now -- I can honestly say that I couldn't be more pleased with the expert guidance, creativity and fair-priced service that I received at David Stern Jewelers.

My first encounter with David Stern was by telephone, and within just a couple of minutes or so, after I had explained the nature of my multiple inquiries, I was convinced that my search efforts had paid off and that I'd truly found the right guy! I made an appointment to visit with David that afternoon and was later greeted by David at the door. His outright friendliness was candidly warm, personable and very down-to-earth. This put me at ease right away and we went into his office for a personal consultation.

I explained that subsequent to my Mom's recent passing, my brother and I had inherited her fairly extensive collection of all kinds of jewelry … it included a mixture of diamond pieces, white & yellow gold bracelets, necklaces, rings, pins -- both Vintage and Current -- along with many pieces of costume jewelry. This entire collection would, at a later date, be fully evaluated, assessed and render a proposed cash offer.

Among other things, I first wanted to repurpose the diamonds from two of my Mother's rings to create a one-of-a-kind Engagement Ring for my very deserving Fiancée. Like a couple of old friends working together, I described to David what I was looking for and, on very short order, David came up with a basic sketch rendering. It incorporated several sentimental stones from both of my Mom's rings ... David's creative vision for this finely crafted piece was amazing!

Truthfully, ten days later when I picked up the finished ring, I was blown away by its exquisite and gleaming design … so was everyone else, especially my Fiancée … when I proposed!! It was a custom creation from the ground-up that only someone with David Stern's talent could precisely fabricate.

Since the purchase of that beautiful ring, I've been back to see David several times. Each time, he insists on cleaning and polishing whatever pieces of jewelry I/we happen to have (routinely Free-of-Charge) and we're always greeted like "Family". Our most recent appointment was a three-hour Cost-Free consultation to appraise and assess our Mother's entire collection of jewelry. We selected a few pieces that we wanted to keep in the family, and then decided to accept David's generously-fair Cash-Offer for the remaining pieces.

I can honestly say that when it comes to Jewelry, you won't find a nicer, more-qualified, pleasant, genuine, knowledgeable, trustworthy, considerate and fair-minded person than David Stern. You simply cannot go wrong with a guy like this and I can't think of a single reason to shop for jewelry anywhere else!

I immediately received an extremely professional email appraisal form to send to my insurance company and then about one week later received the formal paperwork in the mail. From the moment I walked into David Stern Jewelers, I was very comfortable and welcomed. Right now, due to Covid19 it can be difficult to find a jewelry repair shop that is open. I called a few places and was turned off because of the rudeness of whomever answered the phone. Not the case when I called David. Very polite!

I have a 22k solid rope chain that is very important to me and noticed one of the links were broken off and needed immediate repair. I took it to David Stern Jewelers and was told that I could continue to wear my necklace, but at anytime it could break (22k is obviously soft) and my options were to solder it, or wear it until it breaks. I decided to have it soldered and I'm glad I did. They did a fantastic job at a very reasonable price!

So far I have come across only two fair places in Boca to sell your jewelry. One estate buyer and here. The difference is David is a gemologist and has a lot of inventory and I really appreciated his time and professional manner. His prices were more than double that I was offered anywhere else and right in line with one other place I would definitely go back to him because he is fair and honest. I feel he is more of an expert and has lots of knowledge he was a pleasure to work with and highly ethical. I will make purchases as well as sell again to him and likely won’t go elsewhere from now on. Very fair and beyond double what others offered besides the one place who really were not gem experts.

He was thorough and informative, and is now my go-to-jeweler. My appraisal (which includes a picture of the ring) was e-mailed to me, and another copy should arrive in the mail shortly. I also got a ring re-rhodium plated and some other rings steam cleaned while I got the appraisal, and they did a great job with those as well. After seeing the reviews and reputation that David had online I decided to stop in for my engagement ring shopping. My girlfriend at the time was interested in yellow sapphires so I mentioned to him that that's what I was looking for and gave him a price range. He had a few in the store but said that he had worked with other jewelers in town for twenty odd years, and thought they'd have some great ones for the ring. I think that same day he had spoken to a friend of his in the business and sent me an HD video of a beautiful yellow sapphire that they had. I was able to send that around to people helping me with the decision, and everyone loved the stone. He got it from his friend the next day and I was able to see it in the store and purchase it. We had a bit of a special request of the band being gold, and he designed a beautiful ring accommodating that, and even had my fiance's sister on the phone with us to talk through the design. It's worth noting that he only had a few weeks to make the ring itself since I wanted to propose on a specific date, and he got it done well early. The ring turned out to be a knockout and everyone loves it. It's worth noting that David went above and beyond to cut costs where he could, and has been prepared to make a few tweaks for my fiance when she's finally willing to part with it for a few weeks. I'll be doing business with David again for sure.

The setting was old and the rhodium plating was starting to wear off. The baguettes on either side of the center stone had no sparkle to them. I told David I didn’t have a lot of money to spend right now and wanted to know if there was anything he could do to give my ring life again. Lo and behold he performed magic. I picked up my ring today and was floored by how beautiful it looked. He re-rhodium plated the ring, replaced the baguettes with super shiny round stones, lowered the center stone just enough to make the ring look twice as big! All this for an extremely reasonable price. I couldn’t be happier! If you are looking for an honest and experienced jeweler, David Stern is your man.
